Higher States, McMichael Canadian Art Collection’s exhibition of the famed Canadian landscape painter and member of the Group of Seven – Lawren Harris, featured abstract works from Harris’s later period in New Hampshire and New Mexico.
To capture the spirit of Harris’s abstraction and graphic works, Public Good developed a contemporary logo with bold typography and modern art deco-styled flourishes. Moving away from the organic and cold landscapes often associated with the iconic artist – the logo represents a new perspective on Harris’s abstracts often described as spiritual and transcendental.
Consulting with the exhibition curator and McMichael’s senior management team, Public Good developed the exhibition brand and assisted with the gallery colour scheme, exhibition graphics and signage.
